Last month, officers from the Trumbull Police Department responded to an area home, where there was a report of a sexual assault involving a woman and her plumber, Bridgeport resident Roberto Rodriguez, 55.
It is alleged that Rodriguez had been tasked with fixing a leak in his victim’s home.
Once he finished the task, he allegedly grabbed his victim and refused to let go, forcing kisses on her. The woman managed to escape his grasp and fled the home. Rodriguez then drove away from the home.
Rodriguez, a registered sex offender, reportedly also sexually assaulted a woman in 1995. He turned himself in to Trumbull Police after learning that he was wanted for questioning by detectives.
Rodriguez was in court this week and charged with sexual assault, disorderly conduct, and unlawful restraint. He was released on a $30,000 bond. No return court date has been announced.
